Our Family's Legacy

Our family owned and operated marina and campground is “Your Gateway to the Bay”.
Our family has been making camping dreams a reality for over 40 years. Quiet country setting with gorgeous views of the bay and wildlife. Owner Dan Brush has worked every square inch of this 42-acre piece of land curating a wholesome satisfying respite. Co-owner Brandy Ruth started young; picking up trash, cleaning campsites, and helping wherever needed. We look forward to welcoming you and making your stay as wonderful as possible.
Brush’s Marina & Campground’s rustic style campground brings you back to a much easier time. A time when life was laid back and the days were meant for things that make your heart happy. Spend some time on our shores basking in the sun while tossing in a line and hooking a fish! Jump in your boat at your private dock, feel the breeze in your hair as you whisk out into the bay! Kayak and paddle your way around the natural lakeside to see wildlife in their natural habitat. Take a walk along the natural pier and take a seat on one of our many benches to take in the beautiful sunset!
We are nestled in the west edge of thumb on Wild Fowl Bay with convenient access to Lake Huron. We offer 25 sites with water and electric hook-up, 24 rustic campsites, and 23 boat docks. Fire rings and picnic tables are available at all campsites. Two conveniently located porta johns, two playgrounds, walking paths. We also have ice, firewood, and worms conveniently for sale.
This small town has deep roots to explore. The Bay Port Inn, a neighborhood staple for over 100 years, serves up delicious meals, ice cold beverages, and nightly entertainment. Be sure to check out The Bay Port Fish Company that has been serving The Thumb for 126 years. While visiting you can choose from their fresh daily selections to take back to your campsite and grill dinner!
The first weekend of August every year is a great opportunity to sample competitor’s sandwiches and cast votes for your favorite at the annual Fish Sandwich Festival. If you're feeling adventurous be sure to check out Turnip Rock in Port Austin. Rent a kayak and paddle your way out to this wondrous land formation which can only truly be appreciated from water level. There are many farmers markets, resale shops, thrift sales, and sites to see locally from Brush’s Marina & Campground!
If you are looking for a low-key laid-back vacation away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, come camp with us at Brush’s Marina & Campground! You will arrive as guests and leave as family!
